It is not said to smell 'meaty', it is explained to have a more nutty, buttery scent when first opened. When spread onto the skin, it holds a unique but non-offensive smell which dissipates and can be known to smell 'milky'. Our scented balms infused with essential oils will be predominantly what you smell.
